Selecting the Perfect T-Shirt Material for Your Design

Selecting the Perfect T-Shirt Material for Your Design

When it comes to selecting your preferred t-shirt design, you’re spoilt for choice as there are endless designs to choose from. And as if that were not enough, you’re now left with another complicated task-choosing the perfect fabric for embossing the design. This guide elaborates on how to pick and choose the right material for your customized tee.

At the same time, we’ll discuss how various fabric blends can influence the final look of your custom-made t-shirt.

100% Pure Cotton T-shirt

There’s no disputing that cotton is regarded as the best fabric for a wide variety of dress materials, including tees. Cotton is not only extensively and cheaply available but also allows your chosen design along with the colors to open-up. To put it simply, the final look of your design on cotton will appear better than on say polyester or nylon.

However one glaring drawback of cotton t-shirts is they’re not as soft and comfy as tri-blend or polyester-cotton blend tees. Nevertheless this is not to imply that you’ll feel uncomfortable wearing a cotton t-shirt; if you own cotton tees, you know how comfortable you feel wearing them. At Real Thread we always ensure to promote only those t-shirts that are trending, and therefore enjoy heavy demand.

That said you’ll always feel more comfortable wearing a tri-blend or a polyester-cotton or tee compared to a cotton t-shirt. Also take note that comfortableness factor could and does vary noticeably based on the brand of a cotton tee.

Tri-Blend Fabric Tees

Tri-blend fabric as the name indicates is essentially a material created by blending or combining three fabrics cotton, rayon, and polyester. Rayon which is the key material in the tri-blend fabric despite being manufactured is considered organic because it’s sourced from wood pulp. Rayon not only displays the properties of cotton, wool, silk or linen but also feel like these materials or fabrics.

It’s the specific manufacturing process used for creating rayon that makes the fabric mimic the inherent attributes of other materials.

 Polyester-Cotton Blend T-Shirts

P0lyester-cotton blend t-shirts tend to be a tad softer in comparison to pure cotton tees chiefly because of polyester fabric. Polyester is synthetically produced using a specialized chemical procedure making the material more crease-and-tear resistant, water-resistant, and heat-resistant than cotton. T-shirts stitched from a polyester blend also happen to stretch more compared to cotton tees.

We bet once you put on these t-shirts, you’ll never want to switch back to cotton tees, thanks to their softness.
